Viva is equipping children’s leaders in India through a Sunday School programme that last year reached 59 churches in five partner networks across the country.
As the Church grows in India, and new congregations emerge, the training provides teachers with a curriculum that is well-structured, Bible-based and which aims to help children develop holistically, and to disciple them.
I visited a Sunday School in Delhi that has adopted Viva’s programme, and where the church is a member of our partner network, CYM.
Watch a two-minute video below to hear from the church pastor, Vashi, and Sunday school teacher, Orlando, about why the training is so important for them and for children.
Orlando explains, “Even if the children may go a little bit astray on a different road, the foundation will always remain [because of the training]”.
As Evangeline Odyuo, from CYM, tells us, “We want the teachers to be well equipped so they can go back and they can teach the children whom God has given them – to nurture them, spiritually and physically”.
